Arquillian Drone Extension 2.1.2 Released

Since we wrote this post we didn't laze around. Check our latest announcement.

The Arquillian team is proud to announce the 2.1.2 release of the Arquillian Drone Extension component!

This release contains a very important fix for the automatic download feature – for cases when the geckodriver (firefox) is used.
GitHub provides a limited set of unauthorized requests (which is the way we get information about releases), and there were some corner-cases when it was quite easy to reach the limit.
This release provides improvements/fixes that should avoid such an exceedance also in these cases.

Arquillian Cube Extension 1.4.0 Released

Since we wrote this post we didn't laze around. Check our latest announcement.

The Arquillian team is proud to announce the 1.4.0 release of the Arquillian Cube Extension component!

New version of Arquillian Cube 1.4.0 has been released with new features and bug fixes.

What’s new

Allow star operator in Container Object DSL

Now you can use star operator to generate random container names nad binding ports in Container Object DSL too.

@ClassRule
public static ContainerDslRule redisStar = new ContainerDslRule("redis:3.2.6", "redis*")
                                            .withPortBinding(6379);

In previous example a container with random name starting with redis is started and a random binding port is used. Notice that this allows parallel execution of tests against same docker host. You can read more about star operator at Parallel Execution for more information about it.

Uses latest version of wait-for-it algorithm

Copied latest wait-for-it.sh script into Arquillian Cube.

What is Arquillian Cube Extension?

With Arquillian Cube you can control the lifecycle of Docker images as part of the test lifecyle, either automatically or manually. This gives you the chance to scale up from a integration/functional test level all the way up to the system test level.
