Brian Leathem is a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat. As the tech lead of the Rapid Mobile Application Development team for the Red Hat Mobile Application Platform, Brian focuses on cutting edge javascript development in both the frontend (browser) and backend (node.js). The fast-pace of javascript frameworks in both these spaces requires a careful balance between tracking new developments, while adhering to current best practices in order to deliver both a modern yet stable toolset.
